Bulldog Medical Staff
Mike Kassis, of Solano Sports and Industrial Physical Therapy,
is a influential supporter of Vacaville High School athletics.
His care and attention to our athletes’ injuries has kept them
on the field. Mike is on the sidelines at all Bulldog home games
looking after our athletes. While Mike has been active caring
for our athletes, he has also been a terrific athletic booster,
helping us to raise money four our athletic program. Time and
again, Mike has been there to support our programs.
Mike is a great asset to the community and is very active,
working withCentral Little League, Youth Baseball and
Vacaville Bengal Football. The Bulldogs greatly appreciate
all you do for VHS athletics.
Dr. Jon Perlstein is a graduate of Calabasas High School,
where he was a member of the football and basketball teams.
He attended the University of Nebraska where he played
football, and played for the US Military National Rugby team.
Dr. Perlstein has coached youth baseball for eight years and
youth basketball for eight years. Dr. Perlstein is currently the
Chief of Trauma and Acute Care Surgery at the Sutter Roseville
Medical Center. In 2005, he was the Chief Surgeon at the
Air Force Theater Hospital in Balad, Iraq.
Dr. Perlstein also wears another hat for the Bulldogs. He is
entering his 8th year as an assistant football coach for the
varsity team.
He is married to his wife Jamie and has three children: daughter
Ashley, and sons Jake and Zack.

Dr. John Perlstein M.D.
Dr. Rob Peterson M.D.
Dr. Robert Peterson is a specialist in orthopedic surgery as well
as sports medicine. As the team physician at UC Davis, he has
worked with numerous athletes from Vacaville High School,
Davis High School, Wood High School, and Solano College.
Dr. Peterson received his medical training from Albert Einstein
College and Montefore Medical Center and completed his
Sports Medicine Fellowship at the University of Mississippi.
